Ethos Engineering's Input to 8 Hanover Quay
Park Developments developed their property, 8 Hanover Quay (former Durabond House), in Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 to deliver The Reflector. The development comprises of approximately 10,000m2 of commercial office space over 6 floors and 40 no. high spec apartments. The six-storey building was strategically designed to provide minimal internal columns and two separate receptions and was finished to the highest standards, featuring LEED Gold V4 accreditation and A3 BER Certification.
Ethos were commissioned to carry out the mechanical, electrical, vertical transportation, and ICT, design as well as carrying out the LEED AP role and LEED Energy Modelling.
Unique Key Features
The building was delivered and achieved LEED v4 Gold accreditation. Both the commercial and residential elements of the development targeted and achieved A3 BERs.
High efficiency plant and equipment have been designed throughout including incorporation of CHP plant.
Lifts have been designed to a high specification with Average Waiting Times significantly improved on BCO and CIBSE recommendations for high spec city centre office schemes.
