Building Physics in Ethos Engineering
Building Physics is a core competence of Ethos Engineering. Our designs reflect the latest thinking in deep green engineering and strive to achieve near Zero Energy Building (nZEB) status while still maintaining the wellbeing of building occupants.
Ethos Engineering have qualified BREEAM, LEED & WELL AP’s that can provide professional advice should you wish to investigate the possibility of utilising them on your project.
Examples

WELL
WELL is the leading tool for advancing health and well-being in buildings globally. The WELL Building Standard is revolutionizing the way people think about buildings. It explores how design, operations and behaviours within the places where we live, work, learn and play can be optimized to advance human health and well-being. Ethos are one of the early adopters of WELL in Ireland with the third WELL AP registered here.

LEED
LEED is an internationally recognised green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.

Daylight
Daylight design can result in significant energy savings by reducing electric lighting loads and associated cooling loads. In addition, with proper solar control, solar gains during cooling load periods can be mitigated and solar gains during heating load periods can be utilized, reducing the energy requirements of both cooling and heating a space.

IES Modelling
IES Modelling (Integrated Environmental Solutions) is an industry leader in energy analysis and sustainability modelling
