Since its establishment in 2005 Ethos Engineering has been involved in a wide variety of projects. Our experience spans the entire spectrum of project types from commercial to residential and healthcare to pharmaceutical just to name a few. This is evident through the quantity of repeat work with high profile Clients and also through the quality and quantity of projects in our portfolio.
Since our inception we have completed; 600MW of Data Centre Space, 3,000 Healthcare Beds, 30 Operating Theatres, 25 Linac Bunkers, 6,500,000 sq ft of office space, 8,000 student beds, 4,500 dwellings, 1,100 prison cells & 2,000,000 sq ft of Mixed Use Develpoment (Office, Retails & Commercial).
Imaginosity is an interactive children’s museum located at the heart of the Beacon South Quarter Development at Sandyford, Dublin 18. There is a sustainable /green approach to the Imaginosity building design, from the building fabric/façade and materials, through to the M&E services for the building.
The design incorporates as many sustainable & renewable technologies as possible to increase the educational aspect of the building. Key sustainable features incorporated include the following, Micro CHP, wind turbines, heat pumps, solar water heating and Roof Mounted ‘Windcatcher’ Units with Photovoltaic Panel
The sustainable technologies are integrated with the exhibits in the building to form part of the learning experience for children on their journey through Imaginosity.
Gorey Community School, Co. Wexford
Gorey Community School is a new post-primary school which will accommodate 1,000 pupils (mixed girls and boys). The school has a gross floor area of 12,700m2. The accommodation includes general teaching accommodation, specialist classrooms/workshops, PE Hall, hard play courts and playing pitches.
The school has been designed to maximise passive energy efficient features such as natural ventilation, natural daylighting through window design and provision of day-light controls and solar heating as well as a high performance building envelope to achieve an A3 BER rating.
The school is also provided with a 120m2 photovoltaic panel array and combines integrates the recording of metered services and renewable energy as a teaching resource through access via the BMS and display screens within the General Purpose Hall.
Grangegorman DIT Greenway Building
The development of the DIT Greenway building was under a design and build (D&B) contract led by BAM Construction. The Greenway Building is a highly technical state of the art facility with numerous laboratories, write ups spaces and office areas. The building was the first new build construction on the Grangegorman campus.
Ethos Engineering were part of D&B bidding consortium and upon winning the bid competition were retained to complete the detailed design and construction monitoring of the mechanical and electrical services under the D&B contract.
