Since its establishment in 2005 Ethos Engineering has been involved in a wide variety of projects. Our experience spans the entire spectrum of project types from commercial to residential and healthcare to pharmaceutical just to name a few. Since our inception we have completed; 600MW of Data Centre Space, 3,000 Healthcare Beds, 30 Operating Theatres, 25 Linac Bunkers, 6,500,000 sq ft of office space, 8,000 student beds, 4,500 dwellings, 1,100 prison cells & 2,000,000 sq ft of Mixed Use Develpoment (Office, Retails & Commercial).
Midland’s Prison, Portlaoise, Co. Laois
The extension to the Midland’s Prison was completed in 2012. The majority of the construction was pre cast and delivered to site for assembly. Ethos Engineering were engaged in the Midland’s prison extension as part of the Glenbeigh design build construction team.
The project involved the delivery of 177 state of the art prison cell along with catering capacity for 1200 prisoners and recreation areas. The project was awarded BREEAM Very Good and included major infrastructural works on the prison site including the installation of Combined Heat & Power (CHP) Unit.
Wheatfield Prison, Clondalkin, Dublin 22
The Wheatfield Prison project was an extension to the existing prison in Clondalkin, Dublin 22. It consisted of 176 Individual Cells, Serveries, Recreation Areas, Medical Facilities, Lighting Controls, Water Conservation and an MV Upgrade.
Mountjoy Prison, C Wing, Dublin 7
The project consisted of an additional 40 No. cells, additional multi purpose rooms, complete in cell sanitation for all cells, complete LPHW installation for all cells, fire alarm system upgrade, cell call system upgrade, basement smoke evacuation system, ventilation systems in basement and decommission of existing steam infrastructure whilst the remainder of the prison kept ‘live’.
Ethos Engineering were engaged on the Mountjoy Prison C Wing refurbishment as part of the John Sisk design and build team.
