Project Description
Castelforbes mixed-use development consists of PRS residential units, two hotels, office, and resident amenities incl. gym, creche, function suites, and multi-function auditorium. The Office and Premier Inn Hotel are in construction.
The development is being delivered to NZEB compliance with an emphasis on low carbon sustainable design and efficient operation and management.
Ethos Input
Ethos Engineering has been engaged to provide mechanical, electrical, public health, and lift engineering services for the development. Ethos is also providing Environmentally Sustainable Design services to ensure the efficient design of system solutions for NZEB compliance and acting as BREEAM, LEED, and WELL APs for the Premier Inn Hotel and Office.
Unique / Key Features
Apartments – exhaust air heat pumps, LED lighting, and intelligent controls throughout.
Offices – 4-pipe heat pump chillers and 4-pipe FCUs
Hotels – VRF air conditioning and heat recovery on fresh air systems for each guestroom and heat pump domestic hot water.
