Project Description

Dub13 is an existing 7 storey office development in Grand Parade, Dublin. The project brief called for the refurbishment of all floors to accommodate approximately 410 occupants in open plan workspaces, meeting rooms, alternative workspaces and break out spaces, IT and Comms rooms, showers and other general office space. The building works as a “swing space.”

Ethos Engineering were commissioned to carry out the Mechanical and Electrical design and construction monitoring. As part of a team that have worked together on similar projects, the team turned difficult buildings into comfortable office environments within budget. As the building is listed, Ethos Engineering carried out an extensive due diligence report of the existing landlord services.

Unique / Key Features

The mechanical and electrical services were designed to ensure a level of comfort to staff with particular attention being required to the restricted ceiling void depth on the sixth floor, where the staff break out alternative space is located. Careful consideration was required to ensure comfort was achieved whilst working within parameters.
