Project Description:
Dublin Airport Logistics Park (DALP) is a 150-acre, large-scale commercial industrial park, housing prominent brands and flagship facilities. Ethos was brought on board to develop 2 new industrial units, unit 23 and 27, with reception area, ancillary offices, toilets / lift cores and warehouse facilities. The plant rooms are located on the roof space above the first floor in the warehouse and can be accessed through a ship ladder. Each unit also consists of rear service yards with car parking spaces (10% of that space is allocated for EVs with charging stations), cycle parking spaces, water services infrastructure and sustainable urban drainage system features.

Ethos Input:
Ethos Engineering designed and oversaw the installation and commissioning of all the mechanical and electrical services. The work spanned both warehouse / industrial units with office blocks located internally in each unit. Additionally, the electrical & mechanical services for the estate itself were also designed by Ethos. This included estate lighting, automatic gates for property, power requirements for security, and more.

As exceeding expectations is in our ethos, we designed a variable refrigerant flow system combined with heat recovery ventilation to allow the client design flexibility within the newly built office blocks. All office blocks also received new water services systems, drainage, power, LED lighting and fire protection. The warehouse and office areas were further fitted with emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.

Unique Key Features:
Ethos ensured that the services provided were futureproof and armed the client with design flexibility for scalability requirements, such as communications, data, and power.

At Ethos we build sustainable solutions for every client, and it was no different for DALP. The M&E services were designed and installed, receiving LEED Silver Certification. We also integrated mechanical and electrical systems throughout to optimize energy use, in line with our promise of delivering sustainable solutions.
